ICARUS and LAUREL are PARENTS

Το γλυκύτατο ζευγάρι πιγκουίνων που υιοθετήσαμε έγιναν γονείς! Ο ευτυχισμένος μπαμπάς που όλη η οικογένεια της Winnrs Education τον ονομάσαμε Icarus...
The sweet Adele penguin couple we adopted have become parents! The hapy daddy that Winners Education extended family called Icarus...

.... και η αφοσιωμέμη μαμά Laurel που...βαφτίστηκε από ένα σχολείο στις ΗΠΑ,
...and the devoted mummy Laurel, baptisesd by a USA school,

....ανήκουν σε μια αποικία πιγκουίνων Adelie που φτιάχνουν φωλιές στο νησί Ross στην Ανταρκτική.
...belong to an Adele penguin colony in Ross island, Antarctica.

 Οι γονείς εναλλάσσονται στην επώαση των αυγών από των Νοέμβριο. Ενώ ο ένας βγαίνει στην ανοικτή θάλασσα για ψάρεμα, ο άλλος μένει πίσω στην φωλιά για να ζεσταίνει τα αυγά μέρα και νύχτα χωρίς φαγητό ή νερό μέχρι και 15 μέρες!
The parents have been taking turns in looking after the eggs since November.While the one goes out to feed in the open sea, the other stay dutifully back at the the nest, sitting on the eggs day and night, without food or water for periods as long as 15 days!

Το αποτέλεσμα τους αντάμειψε πάντως! The results are worth it, anyway!
Το πρώτο πουλάκι βγήκε στις 26 Δεκεμβρίου....The first chick came out on December 26th...

...και το δευτερο δυο μέρες αργότερα, στις 28 Δεκεμβρίου... and the second two days later...

Είναι τέλεια, δεν είναι? Aren't they perfect?

Και τώρα η μεγάλη ερώτηση:

ΤΙ ΟΝΟΜΑ ΘΑ ΤΟΥΣ ΔΩΣΟΥΜΕ?

Ας ετοιμάσουμε ιδέες για να αποφασίσουμε όλοι μαζί μόλις γυρίσουμε στο σχολείο!
